Clean and Abundant Water for All

Our Water. Our Future.

Water is ever-present in our lives. Most of us have been blessed with a lifelong supply of clean and abundant water - but the threats to water are increasing with each passing year.

As the threats to clean water and healthy habitat become more numerous, the Compact strives to build a diverse portfolio of projects to make headway in areas that we identify as most urgent.

- Reforesting previously mined land to improve soil health, wildlife habitat, and stormwater absorption
- Advocating for green infrastructure in new development including and maintaining Davidson County’s urban tree canopy
- Large-scale stream restoration to reduce flooding, restore natural water flow, and enhance native plant and animal habitats

Much has been accomplished in 2024, but next year more challenges - and opportunities - will arise.
